Young Adult Fantasy author L. Ryan Storms graduated from Freedom High School in 1997 as Lorraine Longo. Writing was always a passion of hers all throughout her college experience.

She went on to pursue a degree in Marine Science at Kutztown University, worked as a pharmaceutical microbiologist for nearly a decade, then jumped into animal welfare administration after receiving her MBA from Marist College. Despite it all, writing was always her passion. Her debut young adult fantasy titled A Thousand Years to Wait released April 30th, 2019. It’s the first of a series she hopes to complete by 2022. Storms is also a member of the Pennsylvania chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and was a judge for the 2018 and 2019 #WRITECLUBDFW writing contests. She credits her success in writing to a work ethic she learned long ago, and to encouragement from faculty like her 9th grade English teacher, Mrs. Catherine Caporaso. Storms is a strong believer in following dreams and is grateful for the chance to make her own dreams come true. A Thousand Years to Wait is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book Depository, IndieBound, iBooks, Kobo, Google Play, and at indie book stores like Firefly Bookstore in Kutztown.
