Freedom School Counselor, Freedom Graduate

Selines Oquendo is a proud faculty member of Freedom High School where she has served as a school counselor for the past five years. Her parents moved to the states from Puerto Rico. 

Selines was born and raised in the City of Bethlehem. She spent most of her childhood living in the Marvine housing projects and attended Marvine Elementary School and Northeast Middle School. When she was 12 years old, her family moved to Bethlehem Township where she then attended East Hills Middle School before graduating from Freedom High School. Selines Oquendo is a first-generation college graduate. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from DeSales University and earned her master’s degree in school counseling from Lehigh University. Selines Oquendo continues to reside in the City of Bethlehem with her husband, Alex and 3 children, Samantha, 22, Jaden, 20 and Nathan 15
