Assistant Superintendent & Chief Academic Officer, Liberty Class of 1982

Dr. Jack Silva is a lifelong resident of the Bethlehem Area School District and currently serves as its Assistant Superintendent & Chief Academic Officer. Jack was #BuiltByBethlehem schools having been a student at Fountain Hill Elementary School, Broughal Middle School, and Liberty High School. 

After graduating from Liberty in 1982, he attended Penn State University graduating with a B.S. Degree in Secondary Education, and eventually earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University. After serving as a social studies teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Director of Curriculum & Instruction in the Souderton Area School District for 24 years, his career “came home” to serve the BASD in 2010. Jack is responsible for leading all aspects of the BASD’s educational programming and works closely with community organizations in support of BASD students, families, and educators
